Call For Artists - Phildelphia, PA
Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site in Philadelphia is currently accepting proposals for its 2014 season of site-specific artist installations. Maximum funding is $7,500 per project. Deadline June 13.
Call For Filmmakers - Rhode Island International Film Festival
The FLICKERS: Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) is now accepting entries for its 17th Annual Film Festival to be held August 6-11th, 2013 at venues throughout the state of Rhode Island. The highly prestigious, world-class event is consistently ranked as one of the top Film Festivals in the United States. Academy Award-qualifying, RIIFF presents an exciting program of over 200 films, seminars and post-film parties and gatherings, and is attended by more than 300 filmmakers and film professionals from around the world. Late Deadline June 1.
Call For Filmmakers - 48 Hour Film Festival
The 48 Hour Film Project comes to Providence on the weekend of July 12 - 14. Filmmakers from all over the Providence area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world. Deadline June 17.
Call For Actors - General Auditions
The Rhode Island Performance Exchange (RIPE) is pleased to announce their first general auditions for the Rhode Island performance community. The auditions will be held at 95 Empire in Providence on Saturday, June 1 from 10am-3pm, and are open to performers of all kinds who are interested in being seen by many of Rhode Island's thriving theater companies.Intended to bridge the gap between companies and performers in Rhode Island, the general audition will be a one-day event where any actor who wishes can sign up for a slot by emailing or calling RIPE. RIPE gives the performer five minutes to do anything to showcase his or her talents. Movers, dancers, singers, musicians, comedians, actors, professionals, amateurs of any age or type are encouraged to audition.

Call For Interns - Rhode Island International Film Festival
Flickers is seeking motivated, industrious, self-starting students who care about the community and want to be a part of New England's largest film festival and its only Academy Award qualifier. All internships with Flickers: Rhode Island International Film Festival are unpaid. A minimum of 15-20 hours per week is expected, although time commitments vary depending on the department. Interns work closely with staff on timely and compelling projects, many with a current focus on marketing, event planning, educational programs, technical operations, design, and community outreach.

NEA Art Works Grant
To support the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, public engagement with diverse and excellent art, lifelong learning in the arts, and the strengthening of communities through the arts. Within this category, all Arts Education projects will have lifelong learning in the arts as their primary outcome. Innovative projects are strongly encouraged. An organization may request a grant amount from $10,000 to $100,000.
Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant
The Foundation welcomes, throughout the year, applications from visual artists who are painters, sculptors and artists who work on paper, including printmakers. There are no deadlines. The Foundation encourages applications from artists who have genuine financial needs that are not necessarily catastrophic. Grants are intended for a one-year period of time.

Public Humanities Clinic
The Public Humanities Clinic at the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage at Brown University offers free assistance to cultural organizations and individuals working to present humanities projects and programs to the public. The aim of the Public Humanities Clinic is to foster excellence in humanities-based programs, exhibits and community initiatives by providing advice and facilitating connections between people, including colleagues, public humanities students and scholars.
Call For Teachers - Big Yellow School Bus Grant Program
The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts has approved the continuation of its popular "Big Yellow School Bus" program for the 2011-2012 school year, subject to the availability of funds. This program provides grants of up to $400 per school building per year to Rhode Island schools to support the cost of school buses and coverage for classroom teachers so that students can attend cultural arts events during the school day.
