Celebrate Providence! August 18 To August 25

From music and dance to Opera In the Park, Mayor Angel Taveras' Neighborhood Performing Arts Initiative showcases the art of local neighborhoods in city parks throughout the summer. All events are free and open to the public.

Double Decker Dance Band
Wednesday, August 22 @ 5:30pm - Brown Street Park
The Friends of Brown Street Park make up for a previous date rained out.

ECAS Theater
Thursday, August 23 @ 5:30pm - Riverside Park
ECAS Theater will bring Spanish-language and bilingual music, dance and theater to young and old alike.

"Summit Music Fest"
Saturday, August 25 @ 1pm - Lippitt Park
The Summit Neighborhood Association will host the Summit Music Fest featuring live music (MAMADOU, the Senegalese), a performance from Jump Dance Company, a kid's area with performances by Sammy & Sassy the Clowns, a beer garden by Trinity Brewhouse plus locally-sourced craft and food vendors from 1pm-5pm at Lippitt Park (Hope St between 10th/11th St).
