
Travel + Leisure's survey ranks Capital City third best in nation
Outranked only by New Orleans and San Francisco, Providence is No. 3 on Travel + Leisure's America's Best Cities for Foodies survey. Cited for its burgeoning farm-to-table establishments, the Capital City is winning the hearts and stomachs of American travelers with its New England "homey vibe." Nods were given to Providence's Chez Pascal and Nick's on Broadway for serving seafood purchased directly from local fishermen. Providence eclipsed New York City, which came in at No. 4, and neighboring Boston which came in at No. 23.
