Friday Night Concert Series Presents Viva Brother & 1,2,3 July 29th

Mayor Angel Taveras, the Department of Art, Culture + Tourism, the Department of Parks & Recreation and 95.5 WBRU are pleased to announce performances from 1,2,3 and Viva Brother on July 29 as part of this summer's Friday Night Concert Series at Waterplace Park. These performances are free and open to the public and begin at 7:30pm.

Nic Snyder (vox, guitar & keys) and Josh Sickels (drums) provide the one-two punch for the Pittsburgh based duo 1, 2, 3. Formed less than a year ago, the band has already made waves in the UK following the release of their critically acclaimed single "Going Away Party" with their full length debut just around the corner.

Music trends in cyclical waves and young, brash Britpop revivalists, Viva Brother, are riding high on the strong swell of nostalgia caused by reunions of seminal British bands like Suede and the inception Beady Eye - a modern project by Liam Gallagher and other remaining members of Oasis.

UK based five-piece, Viva Brother, enchanted anglophile music bloggers with the stylized 90's English pub band swagger of their first single "Darling Buds of May." Sonically reminiscent of Oasis, Blur and Manic Street Preachers, Viva Brother captures the cheeky, slightly thuggish energy that has only been sincerely replicated by fellow English musician Pete Doherty.
