Haitian artists André Eugene and Céleur Jean-Herard will present two public events at the Steel Yard. The artists are part of the Atis Rezistans collective based in downtown Port-au-Prince and are in Providence for a demonstration and workshop on the art of found-object-sculpture. The rough aesthetics of their urban assemblages blend politics and the history of Vodou.
Demonstration: March 24, 6-9 p.m.
Workshop: March 25, 6-9 p.m.
Location: The Steel Yard, 27 Sims Avenue, Providence
Free, Open to the public
