The Columbus Cooperative, a volunteer-run organization
dedicated to working in tandem with the Theatre's owner, Jon Berberian, to produce and present high-quality programming and restore the Theatre to cultural prominence in the community, is
pleased to present Revival!, an all-ages celebration of the reopening of Providence's historic Columbus Theatre.
On Saturday, November 17, the Theatre, located at 270 Broadway, will host an exciting lineup of local bands, food trucks by Julians and Nice Slice, and beer from Revival Brewing Company. Programming will take place on both the Columbus Main Stage and at Columbus Upstairs, the intimate, 199-seat room located in the Theatre's balcony.
The Low Anthem, for whom the Columbus has been home base for both practice and recording since November 2011, will headline the evening on the Main Stage. This marks the band's first show in Providence in more than a year. Low Anthem member Jeff Prystowsky says, "The Columbus Theatre isn't just a venue; it's a musician's dream. Its architecture, design, and acoustics all point towards one source: the music. Its reopening on November 17th is a revival, not just for itself, but for anyone who loves music in Providence."
