Holiday Lighting Of WaterFire December 14th

In the spirit of giving and to kick off holiday festivities in Providence, WaterFire will produce a partial lighting and event that will transform Waterplace Park and the entire Waterplace basin into a winter wonderland on Friday, December 14th. This special lighting has been funded by an anonymous donor as a gift to the city of Providence and to benefit and showcase the incredible work of the Providence Rescue Mission.

Special activities will include a glorious tree lighting, a special visit from Santa Claus, Christmas caroling, free cookies and hot beverages and much more!

WaterFire is also encouraging the public to bring donations of new unwrapped toys and gifts, food, clothing and other items for the Providence Rescue Mission. The Providence Rescue Mission is registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is 100% privately funded and serves many thousands of men, women and children in the Providence community.
