Merchants to Join Mayor Cicilline for Launch of Annual Buy Providence/Buy Art

PROVIDENCE - Mayor David N. Cicilline will join area merchants and artists to launch the city's annual Buy Providence/Buy Art program on Tuesday, November 23rd at 10am at Trinity Repertory Company, 201 Washington Street.

Buy Providence/Buy Art is an annual campaign created by Mayor Cicilline to remind shoppers to buy local this holiday season to support local businesses and help fuel the economy. Merchants will display original artwork, food, jewelry, books and specialty items. Free samples of some their products will be given out.

Buy Providence/Buy Art partners include the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau, Providence Foundation, Providence Tourism Council, Providence Economic Development Partnership (PEDP) and the Department of Art, Culture + Tourism.
