Free Minds, Free People is not your average conference and networking event; it's a space for building solutions to our nation's most pressing issues in education.
Building on the work of the 2007 and 2009 conferences, Free Minds Free People 2011 in Providence features over 60 workshops, panel discussions, lesson planning spaces, cultural events and performances, live web streaming, a media center, youth activities, plenaries and tours!
Young people, educators, activists, researchers, cultural workers and community changemakers from around the country are flying, bussing, biking and walking to Providence for this historic event - a movement for democracy, learning, diversity and justice.
