Exhibit Runs Through September 28, North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Avenue, Free And Open To The Public. The historic North Burial Ground in Providence will host a summer long art and performance project by Provincetown artist Jay Critchley. Fifteen projects from visual artists and performers from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Michigan, Oregon, Ontario, Canada and New York City were invited by Critchley to create original, site-specific installations and performances throughout the cemetery. 2008 MacColl Johnson Fellowship From The RI Foundation. Three $25,000 fellowships are available for emerging to mid-career music composers whose work demonstrates exceptional creativity, rigorous dedication, and significant artistic merit. Applications will be accepted for original compositions in chamber, choral, electronic, experimental, symphonic, opera, contemporary, nontraditional, and world music genres, and musical theater. Jazz composers are eligible to apply as long as a significant component of work is composed and/or consists of structured improvisation. The deadline to apply is August 1.
