National Endowment For The Humanities Summer Stipends Grant
Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to scholars and general audiences in the humanities. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly tools. Camp Broadway’s National Tour at Providence Performing Arts Center Now Enrolling
Camp Broadway, a week-long day camp for theatre-loving kids, celebrates its 10th anniversary at PPAC this August 10-14, and registrations are now being accepted. Activities take place Monday-Friday from 9:00a to 5:00p, and include five days of singing, dancing, acting, master classes, a “Salute to Singin’ and Dancin’ Kids” luncheon with guest speakers, and a backstage tour of the Providence Performing Arts Center. The week culminates with a Campers’ performance on the PPAC stage for family and friends on Friday afternoon. Paid registrations are limited to 90 children ages 10-17 by August 1, 2009, and are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are available by clicking here.
Trinity Repertory Company's Young Actors Summer Institute Now Enrolling
For the fifth summer, Trinity Rep will open its doors for boys and girls in grades 5-12 to explore a world of creativity and theater under the instruction of RI's most knowledgeable theater professionals with the Young Actors Summer Institute. The Summer Institute offers students a challenging five weeks of study in the fields of acting, playwriting, dance and much more.
