The Providence Singers will be holding auditions August 11 and August 18 by appointment at the Carter Center in East Providence.  Experienced choral singers in all voice parts are welcome; male and alto voices are especially in demand.  Audition includes a prepared solo, vocalization, ear training, and sight reading. Paul Clancy is a commercial and fine art photographer, located in downtown Providence, with over 25 years of professional experience and is looking for interns.  Intern will be responsible for assisting photographer on commercial shoots, and fine art projects, creating and maintenance of an archiving system for present and a long history of imagery, establishing a strong digital footprint for the web, post production of photo shoots in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Call For Latin American Filmmakers The 17th annual Providence Latin American Film Festival is looking for recently produced feature films, documentaries, shorts and animations for its general program and for the Fernando Birri Award's Best First Work Competition.  A mention will also be given to the best cinematography, best actor, best actress, best score, best original screenplay and best editing.  All films must be subtitled in English.  To download an application please click here.  For more information please call 383-3668.


National Endowment For The Humanities Summer Stipends Grant
Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to scholars and general audiences in the humanities.  Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly tools. Summer Stipends support full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two months.  The deadline to apply is October 1.  For more information please click here.

Festival Ballet Summer Dance Classes Now Enrolling
A rigorous program for ages 13 to pre-professional for those looking to stay in shape for perhaps a summer program they are attending later in the summer or just to stay in "dance shape" for next season.
