The Arts & Business Council of RI is looking for feedback from members of the creative sector and arts based non-profits in Rhode Island regarding their Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA) Program.
The BVA Program is a part of their affiliation with the Americans for the Arts, and was originally created by New York City's Arts & Business Council. Across the country, BVA partners recruit and train business professionals to be placed as pro bono management consultants with non-profit arts groups. Arts groups applying to the program receive an in-depth management assessment by BVA staff to help determine their needs. Trained BVA volunteers are then matched with organizations to complete a clearly defined consultant assignment. Past projects have addressed all management areas-strategic planning, marketing, information systems, human resources, and financial management.
