Preserve Rhode Island Kicks Off 2013 Rhody Ramble

Launched in 2012 as a summer family adventure around Rhode Island, the Rhody Ramble has expanded to include a nearly year-round calendar of events for children and families.

Events and tours are offered at 25 member properties of the Historic Sites Coalition of Rhode Island, which are located throughout the state. Events include outdoor festivals, concerts, re-enactments, hands-on activities, scavenger hunts and walking tours.

Led by cartoon rooster 'Rhody the Rambler,' the program helps families explore Rhode Island's diverse history and landscape - from oceanfront mansions to historic farms - through a web-based calendar of events.
