Rhody Ramble Explores Providence & Beyond This Fall

Summer may be over, but fall is a great time to explore Rhode Island with kids. The Rhody Ramble, which began as a summer adventure for families, offers an active calendar of fall and holiday events.

The events are held at historic places around the state and include outdoor festivals, concerts, re-enactments, scavenger hunts, craft activities, and outdoor walks. Families can explore sites ranging from historic mansions to working farms, along the way finding out what makes these places distinctly Rhode Island.

With most admission prices under $10 and several free events, the activities are designed to be affordable for families. A cartoon rooster named Rhody the Rambler serves as the program's ambassador and shares his adventures on Twitter and Facebook.
