The Manton Avenue Project "Votes" On A New Batch Of Plays

As part of their Wild Card! Program, the Manton Avenue Project will be presenting All in Favor: the voting plays! from October 5 - 7 in the Media & Arts Center at Met Public.

Seven of their kid playwrights (ages 10-12) have each written a ten minute play tackling the issues of voting, voting rights, citizenship, and elections to create an evening of original plays written by children and acted by a company of talented adult actors. Each of these plays will contain two characters voted upon by the group - a grandma and a rainbow - and each of the plays will contain one unique "wild card" character developed by the individual playwrights.

Haven't registered to vote yet? The Manton Avenue Project is partnering with Olneyville Housing Corporation to have voter registration tables and information onsite at each performance.

There will be a brief talk-back with the playwrights and creative team after the Sunday matinee!
