Certificates--- Assumed Business Name and Going Out of Business
For the Assumed Business Name Certificate to be valid the business address must be located in Providence and the business may be neither a corporation nor a non-profit organization. It costs $10.00 to register for the Assumed Business Name and $0.50 per signature to be notarized. Certified copies cost $1.00 and draft copies cost $0.15. Obviously, if you come with the certificate already notarized, you don't have to pay the notarization fee.
