Councilwoman Balbina A. Young, Ward 11 Neighborhood Committee along with the Providence Police Department will co-sponsor a “Take Back the Streets” Neighborhood Rally which will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Dartmouth Avenue, Providence. 

The invited guests who will be in attendance from the Providence Police Department include: Major Paul Fitzgerald, District 2, Lt. George Stamatakos, and Sergeant Fabio Zuena of the Narcotics Division.  They have been asked to discuss serious issues relating to drugs, prostitution, homeless shelters, and other neighborhood policing issues concerning Ward 11 streets. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for Ward 11 residents to voice their concerns to police of problems that have been affecting our neighborhood these last few summer months. The rally in coordination with the Providence Police Department is a great initiative to target issues in our area, and look at solutions to these serious problems.  Refreshments will be served upon conclusion of the rally.
