Councilman Michael Solomon carries on a tradition of public service established by his father, Anthony, who served six terms as Rhode Island’s General Treasurer.

He is a successful businessman who owns Wes’ Rib House and Cozy Catering, and is a member of the Olneyville Businessmen’s Association and the National Restaurant Association.

Councilman Solomon is a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Lions Club, and the Chamber of Commerce.  He was appointed to the Providence Redevelopment Agency in 1992.  He serves the Mt. Pleasant and Elmhurst neighborhoods.
