Welcome to the website of Ward Seven. Ward Seven represents the Silver Lake/Hartford neighborhoods.

The Ward 7 community helped build this nation with its bricklayers, ironworkers and artisans. It is a community that worked long hours in the mills, created businesses and fought discrimination to make a better life for all. It is a community whose residents made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives to protect this country from its enemies and to preserve democracy for the entire world. It is a community that inspired its sons and daughters to become teachers, police officers, firefighters, doctors, lawyers, U.S. Senators, governors, mayors, chief judges, state senators, representatives and council members. The list of achievements is infinite.

When I think of our community, I am overcome with pride and hope. Pride in what we have accomplished and hope in what we will accomplish in the future.
