Clean-Day on the Greenway

On April 28, 2012 from 9am-2pm, the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, members of the Olneyville Collaborative, and local businesses will come together with hundreds of volunteers to take part in Clean Day on the Greenway (CDGW)!

Join over 300 volunteers together to clean and beautify the Woonasquatucket River and the Fred Lippitt Woonasquatucket River Greenway Bike Path from Providence to Johnston, including three Providence city parks. Our efforts this year will include a community mural, weeding and mulching tree wells and plant beds, planting, removing graffiti, touching up paint on benches, pulling debris from in and near the river, and more!

Registration begins at 8:30am at Riverside Park in Providence

We'll have DJs playing music in multiple locations throughout the day and volunteers get snack and water, cool free t-shirts, and a celebratory lunch at 1:00 back at Riverside Park! Pretty nice.
