Mobile Emergency Operation Center (MEOC)

Mission
The Mobile Emergency Operation Center (MEOC) is a quick response emergency management, communications and scene support vehicle. It can take almost any route to an incident without height concerns or weight restrictions. The MEOC gathers critical information and relays it to or from the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The MEOC can also support the Incident Commander (IC) when requested.

Crew
The MEOC is deployed with a nominal crew of one person who is trained in the set-up, deployment and maintenance of the vehicle. A larger crew of two can be added as conditions warrant. Crew members are practitioners in various emergency response disciplines such as Emergency Management, Incident Command System support and Communications. All have advanced ICS training. The crew mission on a deployment is to manage and maintain the MEOC and its systems. Crew can be tasked to accept direct incident response or recovery missions.

Equipment Interior
The main compartment has three (3) Emergency Management and Communications workstations. The workstations are divided into three (3) basic functions; Incident Command, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Emergency Management/Weather.

Communication Equipment
The MEOC is equipped with numerous communication devices, both fixed and portable radios with chargers, and is readily available with necessary accessories.

Computers, Printers & Plotters
The MEOC is equipped with laptops, fax, copier, color printer and a printer/plotter.

Connectivity & Networking
The vehicle also serves as a "WI-FI" Mobile Hotspot and Motorola MESH to distribute high-speed Internet access to surrounding computers at the scene of an event.

Weather Station

The system reports Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Air Temperature, Relative Humidity, Barometric Pressure, Background Radiation and its location via an internal GPS.

Incident Command System (ICS) Support
