Become A Part of our Volunteer Team
PEMA is seeking volunteers to be trained to staff shelters in Providence. During a real emergency, the City of Providence may need more than 400 volunteers to staff its emergency shelters. Volunteers handle a range of duties, from managing a shelter to serving meals to translating and offering information services. Everyone has a skill to offer. Please share yours. As a Disaster Relief Volunteer, you will receive the following free training:

 

  • CPR-adult, child and infant
  • General first aid skills
  • Community Services
  • Shelter Operations
  • Shelter Simulation
