Tours, led by trained University of Rhode Island Master Gardeners, provide cultural and environmental information about the importance of plants in our everyday lives, their unusual and highly varied physical characteristics, and how they have adapted to the climates in which they naturally exist.

Volunteer at the Botanical Center! From planting seeds and plants, to weeding, deadheading, and pruning – we can use whatever help you have to offer. Don’t have experience but willing to learn? Work side by side with experienced gardeners! It’s a wonderful learning opportunity for experienced and beginner gardeners alike.

Since the 1890's, Roger Williams Park has been the premier playground for both Providence and Rhode Island residents. In addition to the Botanical Center, major attractions include the nationally-recognized Roger Williams Park Zoo, the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium, the Casino, the Carousel Village, the Temple to Music, the Todd Morsilli tennis courts, and the Tim O'Neil baseball fields.
