Preserving the Bounty
We're starting Summer Garden School early this year, giving you ample time to learn the facts before you get too busy in the garden. Join us at the stunning Roger Williams Park Botanical Center for one class or all five (save 25% if you register for the entire series!).
While your gardens are starting to produce those lovely fresh vegetables, it's a great time to think about how to preserve them for later use. We will explore several different preservation techniques using various types of equipment such as a pressure canner, water bath canner, dehydrator and vacuum sealer. We will also talk about the safety aspects of preserving food properly. Experience the taste of freshly grown produce year round.
