Summer Eco-Exploration at Roger Williams Park

We have a few spots open in our Summer Eco-Exploration program here at the Botanical Center.

FREE but open to Providence residents only. *Session 3 will be open to all Rhode Island residents.

We have openings in Sessions 1 & 2 at this time.

Summer Eco-Exploration Program

Have you ever wondered what types of animals are hiding in the city? We will use scientific techniques to collect insects, set footprint traps and search for birds as we discover the diversity of nature found in urban greenspaces. The program is set at the new Roger Williams Park Community Garden where children will learn to grow their own food, draw in nature journals, play games and make nature-themed arts and crafts projects.

Session 1: Runs until July 22nd

Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:30am am - 1:00 pm (12- 1 is lunch and free play)

Session 2: Runs until July 22nd

Thursdays and Fridays 9:30am - 1pm (12 - 1 is lunch and free play)

Session 3: August 2-17 *More info to come! Will be open to the public!
