From Points West using Route 6 or 6a: (Hartford and Eastern Connecticut, and Western RI) - Follow Route 6 to the "To Route 6 East and I-295 South" on ramp. Take a right and stay to the right following the signs to Providence and Route 6 East (you will use part of the I-295 on-ramp to get onto Route 6 East). Stay on Route 6 East to the end (Sign will then read "6 East to 10 North") and stay to the left, continue to the Dean Street Exit. Once on the Dean Street exit ramp, stay to the right so that you will be on the right side of the island when you reach the light and be prepared to stay on Dean Street. The Public Safety Complex is two blocks after crossing the Broadway on the left. The Parking garage is on your right and parking is free.

From Points West using 295: - From 295 North or South, take Exit 5 to "To Route 6 East - Providence" (Exit 5 is part of a combination exit which serves both Exits 5 and 6, just follow the signs to exit 5). Stay on Route 6 East until the end (Sign will then read "6 East to 10 North") and stay to the left, continue to the Dean Street Exit.Once on the Dean Street exit ramp, stay to the right so that you will be on the right side of the island when you reach the light and be prepared to stay on Dean Street. The Public Safety Complex is two blocks after crossing the Broadway on the left. The Parking garage is on your right and parking is free.
