Mayor Taveras will launch the 2012 holiday season with Buy Providence / Buy Art press event, at Clad In - a women's clothing shop on 497 Angell Street - on Tuesday, November 20 at 9 am. He will be joined by many members of the Wayland Square Merchants Association, and merchants' associations from around the city.
The annual kick-off to the holiday shopping season shines an important light on 'buying local' - and is done before Black Friday and Cyber Monday to drive home the point how important local shopping is to our economy.
