The Mayor's Economic Development office, under the direction of Director James S. Bennett, is calling for 'success stories' to post to its emerging website.
"Some of America's best business success stories are right here at home, and we are offering small businesses the opportunity to do a little shameless self-promotion," said Director Bennett.
"Send us a paragraph or two about who you are, the industry you are in, and what you are doing to be considered a 'success story,' " he said.
"We plan on posting these short stories to our website, to increase visibility about Providence's best, and if we can make space and it makes the grade, we will upload yours."
The website is a relatively new addition to the Mayor's growing web presence, and allows for this newly-established department - which includes Art Culture + Tourism, Planning & Development, Licensing, Inspections & Standards, Workforce Solutions of Providence/ Cranston and Providence Economic Development Partnership (PEDP) to highlight programs, policies and special events.
