Free seminar to help businesses plan for disaster before it strikes

Mayor Taveras, the U.S. Small Business Administration and its partner agencies the RI Small Business Development Center at Johnson & Wales University and Center for Women and Enterprise will host a free workshop for small businesses on preparing for disaster before it strikes.

The workshop - Business Continuity Planning - will be held at the City's Emergency Operations Center, at the Providence Emergency Management Agency on Charles Street, in Providence, on Thursday, October 11 from 4 pm - 6 pm.

Businesses will learn how to prepare for and recover from disaster, protecting employees, products and facilities. Experts from Code Red and PEMA will offer free concrete help to help you when the inevitable strikes.
