Mayor Taveras To Host Small Business Workshop On September 12th

PROVIDENCE, RI - Mayor Angel Taveras and Mark S. Hayward, SBA RI District Office announced that they will be hosting a free public workshop for small business and W/MBE, "It's Who You Know That Counts: 6 Keys to Power Networking for Small Business."

It will be held on Thursday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at the TACO Center at Johnson & Wales University, 10 Abbott Park Place, in Providence, and led by Robert Salvas, a local director of Business Networking International (BNI.)

The workshop is part of a unique series of free monthly workshops launched in spring 2012, between the City of Providence and U.S. Small Business Administration and its partners, the RI Small Business Development Center at Johnson & Wales University and the Center for Women and Enterprise.

The workshops were initiated to help small business access free information to create jobs and grow their bottom line.
