Recruits

The path to become a Providence Firefighter/EMT recruit is a lengthy competitive process with a hiring window that typically opens every few years. The hiring process will begin with an application period, then a written examination, then a physical agility assessment. Each recruit must pass each phase of the process to proceed to the next phase. If you are in the pool of potential candidates you will be required to pass an in depth background check, comprehensive medical examination and narcotics screening.
