-Mayor's Office retains original appearance-

  The second floor is where the Mayor's or Executive Offices are located . Originally, a number of offices on the second floor were assigned to the mayor, including public and private offices of the mayor and a separate office for the Mayor's Clerk.

 The Mayor's Office has been entirely restored to reflect its original appearance. The original tile floor, black marble fireplace, and plaster cornices remain intact. This historic space was preserved in large part due to the preservation efforts of Mayor Vincent A. Cianci, Jr. in the mid 1970's.
