Alexandra Chilikina
|

Alexandra Chilikina is a Russian native and recent Rhode Island School of Design graduate with a BFA in Illustration. Her studies also include four years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow Russia. Over the past several years Alexandra has produced many fine illustrations in watercolor, acrylic, oil, and pen and ink. Recently Alexandra has begun to use her creativity in yet another medium, the computer, digital art and web design.
She brings a wonderful assortment of life and design experiences to her work. Alexandra is able to draw upon her passion for travel and resulting visual impressions, and use these visions to create illustrations and web pages of fanciful and intriguing composition. To accomplish this transition, Alexandra has added a new arsenal of tools for her digital canvas creations including Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Go Live.
Alexandra has exhibited at the Woods Gerry gallery at RISD and at the Palazzo Cenci in Rome, Italy. She has also created works published in the Providence Monthly, the Providence Public Library, Save The Bay and Radio Disney and in the Edna Lawrence Nature Lab at RISD. Alexandra has designed and programmed several new sections of the ProvidenceRI.com web site during her internship.
