The Department of Human Resources in conjunction with Local Union 1033 works with all City Department’s in an effort to determine their safety and health needs. This includes, but is not limited to, safety equipment, inoculations and general safety programs and training. A joint City/Union Safety Committee addresses the following issues on an on-going basis:

• City-wide Emergency Evacuation Plan
• Blood Borne Pathogen Plan and Inoculations (TB, Rabies, Hepatitis A & B)
• General Building Safety and Site Visits
• Worker’s Compensation Injury Analysis
• Air Quality
• Training
