After Shooting, Club Monet License Revoked

The city Board of Licenses on Monday revoked the liquor license of Monet dance club as a result of two violent episodes, including a double shooting three weeks ago in which a man was slain. A history of infractions over the past year, including a brawl inside the club, also weighed against the licensee in the board's written decision. Monet's "continued operation ... poses a serious threat" to patrons and employees, public safety personnel and the public, the board declared.
