Court Upholds Zoning Board Decision for Flatbread Restaurant

Wednesday, August 28, 2013

The Superior Court recently affirmed the decision of the Providence Zoning Board of Review which approved an application by Flatbread Providence, Inc. and Meeting Street Associates, LLC for a special use permit. The special use permit allows Flatbread both to increase the seating capacity of a restaurant from 150 to 191, include a patio for outdoor dining, and reduce the number of on-site parking spaces to a total of 17. Flatbread will open the Thayer Street neighborhood restaurant that has been vacant for years. The Zoning Board was represented by Senior Assistant City Solicitor Lisa Dinerman.
