Following the recommendation of Assistant City Solicitor Max Foster, the Providence Board of Licenses revoked the liquor license for the troubled club "Mugshots." This action takes place in the wake of an accident in June, 2009 in which two young people were killed and the driver paralyzed; two other passengers were injured. All five under-21 occupants of the vehicle had been drinking at Mugshots prior to the accident, and the driver and deceased passengers had blood alcohol levels significantly above the legal limit. The seriousness of the incident led the City to advocate for the complete revocation of the owners' liquor license, and the board agreed.
