He was born in Zambia Dec 16, 192. Educated at Eton and Cambridge. Served in the British army 1946-8. He married in 1953, had 3 children. His wife, Mary Rose Barnard died in 1988. He married Robin McKinley in 1991.
He has been an editor and reviewer for Punch and published many books. This one is the second in the James Pibble series.
The group had mixed reactions to the book -- However when we realized the Punch connection we saw what a spoof of English society it was. It was nicely paced, and wrapped up well. Dottie commented on how well drawn the women were -- and how the author must like women.
