
With admission and rental prices at the same rate for the last eight years, it is truly affordable fun in Downtown Providence.
The air is crisp and the skates are ready to glide at the Bank of America City Center skating rink - one of New England's most popular destinations for winter fun. Beginning on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 4pm, the City of Providence will offer a fun season of skating with low-priced admission and rental rates, along with a spirited lineup of programs and activities.
"Skating at the Bank of America City Center is fun and affordable for the whole family," said Mayor Angel Taveras. "I invite every Rhode Islander to visit downtown Providence, enjoy a day of ice skating and take part in all our Capital City has to offer."
General admission is $6 for adults and $3 for seniors and children (under 12), with skate rental for $4. Purchase a season pass for $75 adult, $45 kids and limited pass for lunch / after-work specials, and $160 family. Special rates are available for schools, small to large groups, and birthday parties - call for details and reservations.
First day of skating begins on Wednesday, November 21st at 4pm. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22nd, the rink will be open at 4pm. Friday, November 23rd marks the beginning of regular hours with the skating rink open from 10am to 10pm.
Regular hours of operation during the week are Monday through Friday, 10am until 10pm and Saturdays and Sundays 11am until 10pm. The skating rink is open on all winter holidays.
