Due to the upcoming Fourth of July Holiday, the extended hours for City Hall on Wednesday, July 3, are cancelled.
On the first and third Wednesday of each month, the City of Providence extends the hours of several city departments to accommodate the needs of city residents after regular business hours. These offices include the City Assessor, the City Collector, as well as the Board of Licenses and Vital Statistics.
These offices will return to regularly scheduled extended hours on Wednesday, July 17.
All City offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and will return to normal summer hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Friday, July 5.
The City of Providence also reminds residents that there will be no trash or recycling collection on Thursday, July 4 due to the holiday.
