Families and friends are welcomed to join CW28, The Rhode Island Community Food Bank and Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island for a free skating event at the The Providence Rink at the Bank of America City Center.
Bring a non-perishable food item on Friday, February 21, 2014, School Vacation Week, from 12pm to 2pm and skate for free to support The Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
CW28 and thecwprov.com announce the 2014 "Skate with CW28" event. As part of the "CW28 Community Works" campaign, the event provides families with free skating and encourages donations to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Families can spend time together doing something fun and beneficial for the community without a cost. "This is a wonderful event that we have been doing over the past several years. It's great to see families skating together and dropping off donations for The Rhode Island Community Food Bank", said Ms. Tina Castano, VP and General Manager for CW28 and thecwprov.com. "Skate with CW28" is a fun and exciting event in Downtown Providence for all ages, and benefits Rhode Islanders in need. Refreshments will be provided on a limited basis by Dave's Coffee and Subway.
Admission is free, with a donation of one or more non-perishable food items. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank will have bins located at the rink for the donations. Normal charges apply to skate rentals on location.
