January 14, 2011 - Mayor Taveras today recognized Russell Gomes as he retired after 37 years of service to Providence. Gomes worked as a Control Center Operator for the Communications Department for Public Safety.

January 11, 2011 - Mayor Angel Taveras today recognized longtime city employee, Bernadette Fiore, as she retired after 34 years of service to Providence. Fiore began her career at the Recreation Department and has worked in the Department of Public Property for the past nine years.
