Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk takes place Oct. 30 at Roger Williams Park.

Mayor Angel Taveras warmly invites you to join the City of Providence Team for the 2011 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Oct. 30 at Roger Williams Park.

"It's important for me that we, the City of Providence, help to lend our support to the estimated 200,000 women and 1,700 men that are diagnosed with Breast Cancer each year. The American Cancer Society's annual walk has helped save thousands of lives by encouraging women and men to get well and stay well, by funding important cancer research, and by encouraging survivors, their friends and family to raise their voice for a cure," said Mayor Taveras.
