
Drop off warm coats, boots and gloves at collection bins in City buildings
PROVIDENCE - Mayor David N. Cicilline kicked off the City's 8th annual Mayor's Coat Drive and encouraged city employees, residents and business owners to help out those in need this winter by donating warm clothing.
There is a particular need for new or gently used coats, socks, sweatshirts and sweatpants, boots, blankets, gloves or hats. Donations will be made to the nonprofit organizations Rhode Island Donation Exchange Program and Crossroads Rhode Island. The City has set up collection bins in all municipal buildings throughout Providence.
