WHEREAS, Emergency Nurses throughout Providence and across the country exhibit the utmost professionalism in their work to provide quality emergency aid, critical assistance, warmth, and support of all in their care; and

WHEREAS, Emergency Nurses exhibit commendable work ethic and integrity in the crucial field of emergency medicine; and

WHEREAS, Emergency Nurses educate the public in the prevention and treatment of injury and illness and in the proper and effective use of emergency services; and

WHEREAS, Emergency Nurses make an enduring impact on our entire community. The City of Providence joins our distinguished health care community in offering to our nurses our infinite appreciation, respect, and praise;
