Mayor Taveras Proclaims October 24-28, 2011 La Salle Bakery Week

WHEREAS, La Salle Bakery has been serving the finest pastries and baked goods for over eighty years; and

WHEREAS, In 1975, Michael and Cheryl Manni purchased La Salle Bakery; and

WHEREAS, La Salle Bakery now has two locations on Smith Street and Admiral Street in Providence; and

WHEREAS, La Salle Bakery has long provided wedding cakes to happy couples throughout Rhode Island and is renowned for its signature Chocolate Pudding Cake; and

WHEREAS, Modern Baking magazine has named La Salle Bakery as Retail Bakery of the Year; and

WHEREAS, La Salle Bakery will celebrate this great honor by hosting a Celebration Week from October 24 through 28, 2011;
