Mayor Taveras Visits Providence Port Business Univar USA

Mayor Taveras and Providence Economic Development Director Jim Bennett traveled this week to Providence's working waterfront to visit Univar USA and discuss the company's continued growth and development plans in the capital city.

Univar USA has been in Providence for 80 years, and has facilities across the globe supporting the food, pharmaceuticals, personal care, coatings and energy industries. In Providence, Univar provides essential products for municipal water treatment facilities and manufacturing.

"Providence has great assets to build on and strong opportunities before us on our working waterfront and throughout our city. We're doing all we can to support existing businesses, attract new businesses and create jobs in Providence," said Mayor Taveras.
