RIBA Presents Mayor Taveras with "Key to the House" at the Rhode Island Home Show

"I encourage everyone in Rhode Island and beyond to come check out this year's Home Show, explore this incredible model home that has been constructed right here on the floor of the Convention Center, and enjoy Providence while you're here," said Mayor Taveras.

RIBA, in partnership with CRM Modular Homes, constructed a full-sized house inside the Rhode Island Convention Center that features design and materials from many of the vendors at the Home Show. The National Association of Women in Construction and the YWCA Rosie's Girls also participated in the ceremony opening the home.

Earlier this year, the National Association for Women in Construction established a partnership with the YWCA to bring the Rosie's Girls afterschool and summer camp program to Rhode Island. The program empowers young women by introducing them to a variety of non-traditional trades.
