We are blessed with a community of entrepreneurs, artists and activists who challenge and inspire us to dream big and do better. We are a city of creators, who have defined American arts, culture and industry for much of our nation's history.

Born and raised here, I am tremendously proud of our City's great ethnic and cultural diversity, our nationally heralded arts and cultural activities, and the rich character that defines each of our neighborhoods.

Upon taking office I affirmed my commitment to running an administration that is honest, transparent and works hard on behalf of all residents. We take this commitment seriously and strive each day to find ways to improve.
